Ethan
Jobalia
Ethan Jobalia is the founder and co-president of WUTV. He has a vast technical knowledge of cameras and adjacent equipment, as in, he 'technically' knows how to work a camera. When he is not in Eads 007 recording, you can find him planning for the future of WUTV. While he is graduating at the end of this year, he knows WUTV will always be a part of him, both figuratively, from the connections he's made and the knowledge he's gained, and literally, from the time he accidentally swallowed an SD card...
Nicole
Backal
Nicole Backal is a sophomore studying Film and Media studies with a concentration in production. At WashU she likes to frolic, dilly dally and prance. She is the co-president of WUTV and takes her role very seriously. So far, she has been instrumental in creating the Sock Puppet Creep video and yapping in front of a camera. Her skills are doubtful, but her enthusiasm is what matters. Nicole is dedicated to a better WUTV. WUTV today, WUTV tomorrow, WUTV forever.
Sofia
Malik
Sofia Malik is a freshman studying biology with a minor in film and media studies. She's currently the Minister of Propaganda for WUTV and was last seen all across campus putting up posters for the club. At WashU she spends her time running errands for Ethan, studying for gen chem, and riding electric scooters with Rose. She is looking forward to mobilizing and expanding the WUTV empire in the years to come. In her mind, the future is WUTV.
Jason
Li
Jason M. Li was last seen on November 24th, 2024 on Delmar Blvd. He was wearing a blue jacket and fuzzy slippers. He is described as a Masters Student in Computer Science of below average height and possibly intelligence. Any available information about his whereabouts should be forwarded to www.FBI.gov.
Rose
Hark-
rider
Rose Harkrider is a freshman studying studio art. You may have heard her complaining about food on campus, on FaceTime with her boyfriend, or making TikTok's with Sofia. Her love of making videos goes far beyond simply watching, but centers around the people she creates with. She believes WUTV is some of the best of what Wash U has to offer. WUTV is her family, and no matter where she is, WUTV is her home.
Joel
Shin
Joel Shin is a freshman studying film and marketing in WashU. He loves working with cameras and scaling random walls, along with watching movies. He has also been hired as the Production Manager of WashU, then fired twice for scaling another wall. He hopes that he will be hired again in the near future. Joel has a love of driving Ethan Jobalia's car and annoying the passengers by sitting his large body in the middle seat. All in all, he is passionate about WUTV and wants to grow it into a place of creativity and love.
Theodor
Martin
Theodor Martin is a freshman studying linguistics and anthropology. Physically, he attends WashU, but mentally, he is sitting under a tree in a meadow, gazing wistfully at the clouds. His principal role at WUTV is to do whatever is commanded of him; if you throw a camera at him, he will probably figure it out. His favorite things include niche instruments, Wikipedia, and talking like a 1920s cartoon character. His least favorite things include writing about himself. Frankly, he is not even sure what this whole “WUTV” thing is about, anyway. But he has fun.
Gabe
Fortress
Gabe is an Anthropology and Psychology student who spends most of his time making sure people don’t break stuff, pondering, and providing unsolicited therapy. Outside of that, he can be found being awake, alone, and aware on the streets of Topeka, Kansas. He says he comes to the meetings to keep our ideas realistic and handle business with SU. However, he is believed to come for the plot and stay for the ensuing chaos.
Dick
Cheney
When Dick Cheney is not busy orchestrating the wars in the Middle East or overstepping his authority as the Vice President of the United States, he loves spending time with his friends and goofing off. Perhaps his favorite place to do that is our very own Harvey Media Center, where you can find Dick on Friday nights recording the next episode of the weekly news, editing a sketch comedy video, and making decisions that no man should ever have to make.
Ethan Jobalia grew up dreaming of the stars. When he was but a young lad, he held a camera at his mom's second wedding for the photographer while they went to the bathroom, and from that moment he knew he was destined to be the WUTV president. In fourth grade he made a television club in his school, and spent the rest of his grade school career dreaming of the day he could get to college and begin his club for real.
